Coromandel Peninsula and the Cathedral Cove area.

After perhaps a half hour walk, we finally arrived at Cathedral Cove. It was a great afternoon and one of the highlights of the Coromandel Peninsula. Unfortunately, it is a very easy walk and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if a couple hundred thousand people traipse through here every year. Despite this fact it is surprisingly clean. New Zealand is by far one of the cleaner places i have ever been. The United States could learn a lot about conservation from the Kiwi
Cathedral Cove.

I swam in this bay for an hour or so. The water was cold, but not unpleasant. Very fun. For a Montanan from the mountains, I could get used to this.

I sat here for probably a half hour trying to get a shot through the tunnel without people cluttering up the scene. It didn't work. At high tide, the water prevents crossing to the other side. I wouldn't want to get stuck down here.
