Coromandel Peninsula: Headed to Port Jackson

We decided to make a run to Port Jackson, the north tip of the Coromandel Peninsula. Like most of the rest of New Zealand, the distractions of photo ops and admiring the scenery were too much to ignore. We stopped a few too many times to make it to Port Jackson in the daylight. We pulled in after dark, but not before witnessing a decent sunset and having a great meal at the Colville Cafe. I apologize for the repetitive nature of "shooting into the sun". I spent a lot of time playing with the light conditions and even managed to shoot a couple of interesting shots. Enjoy...

Sun Spots. The angle of the sun was perfect for This blinding light show.

Taken out of the window of the rental car cruising along at about 50 miles an hour.

Uhoh...better stop the car for the sunset. It was a good idea.

Quite a nice accidental photograph...

Almost there....

I blinked and the sun was gone. I got lucky with this shot.
